Claudio Rietti is an internationally accomplished Director of Photography who approaches each individual project with the philosophy of telling a story – scene by scene, character by character – through light, framing, and movement. His films have garnered awards at film festivals around the world and his documentary & journalism work has aired on several major European (ITV, Channel 4, RAI Sport), South American (Globo, SBT, Record, Bandeirantes), and North American Television channels (NBC).
With a background in shooting motion picture film he brings an organized, pre-planned, schematic, no-nonsense approach to set, which allows for more freedom of improvisation & creativity, but also brings in a quality product on time and on budget.
His knowledge and extensive experience using digital format cameras gives him an arsenal of creative tools which to advise from for any individual project based on its story-telling needs and budget.
He speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish and has worked on projects where all three languages have been utilized…sometimes all on the same day.
